FranksGiving Event Helps Acadiana Families for 12th Year

24th November 2020

Continuing a beloved tradition, on Tuesday, November 24, 2020, Frank’s International held its 12th annual FranksGiving event benefiting 200 Lafayette families in need. FranksGiving provides a complete Thanksgiving meal kit so local Acadiana families may cook and share dinner in the comfort of their own homes. Throughout the morning, families identified by local charitable and faith-based organizations, as well as trusted distribution partners, were greeted at the safe distanced staging area outside of the Frank’s Lafayette facility. There, Frank’s employee volunteers loaded vehicles with meal kits while abiding by local and state government safety protocols in addition to company procedures. The meal kit includes all the ingredients needed for a traditional Thanksgiving meal, including a whole turkey, corn, green beans, sweet peas, cranberry sauce, cornbread stuffing, french bread, macaroni and cheese, and a dessert item.

The FranksGiving tradition started in 2009 and is a mainstay of Frank’s community efforts in Lafayette. Funding for the meal kits come from a combination of employee, corporate, and private donations, which to date, have provided Thanksgiving meals to over 2,400 area families.

“Despite the many unforeseen challenges of 2020, Frank’s International employees have come together to provide donations and volunteer their time to ensure we can continue our annual FranksGiving tradition. It is more important now than ever to support our local community and we hope our efforts bring joy to those we have helped this holiday,” remarked Toby Pitre, Vice President, North America Offshore.
