Frank’s COBRA® combines the benefits of the Rotating Control Line Sleeve Protector System with the Control Line Pusher Arm into one system.
The COBRA® automatically deploys an auxiliary roller under the main roller head, positioning the control lines against the pipe to assist clamp installation. This system can handle multiple control lines at a low entry angle under high tension. The COBRA® is controlled via remote control; dual latches enhance rig floor safety, preventing the boom from lowering on personnel. Large throat roller sets are available for passing umbilicals as large as 4 1/2-in. Rollers can be custom configured for project-specific applications.
