CX-Shear Swivel
The Coretrax Shear Swivel is compatible with all standard clean-up tools and can be used as part of a complete wellbore clean-up system to achieve high flow rates.
The device has two primary positions; In the stroked open position it allows torque to be fully transmitted through the tool. In the closed or sheared position, it acts as a swivel by isolating rotation of the lower string below the tool, this is particularly useful when using low torque drill pipe/tubing below. This still allows the pipe above the tool to be rotated to help achieve an effective wellbore clean up in a tapered casing string.
It can be shifted from open to closed position multiple times to isolate and regain rotation of the lower string as required. The tool is available with a large inner bore for the passage of setting balls, if required, for activation of tools in the lower string.
