Expro has been awarded a major multi-million-pound contract by a major UK operator, reinforcing its position as a leading supplier of subsea safety systems in the UK North Sea plug and abandonment (P&A) market.
Under the terms of the agreement, Expro will provide its 7-3/8” large bore Subsea Test Tree Assembly (SSTTA) safety system to support the client’s P&A campaign across a portfolio of mature subsea wells. This includes six firm wells, with a further six optional wells.
Expro’s robust and reliable subsea well access systems are designed to provide dual barrier protection and disconnect capability, enabling safe and efficient P&A operations while minimizing operational risk and downtime. These systems are critical to maintaining well integrity throughout abandonment activities, particularly in complex offshore environments.
Carole Paley, Expro’s UK Managing Director said:
“Expro has in depth knowledge of North Sea wells and has performed numerous operations on many of these wells over their lifecycle. This deep-rooted expertise supported by local resources enables the delivery of meaningful cost efficiencies. We look forward to working closely with our client on this project as they progress this important campaign over the coming year.”
