Well construction specialist, DeltaTek Global, has been crowned winner of the 2019 Press & Journal Gold Awards Innovation category. Winners were announced at the prestigious awards ceremony on Friday, 6 September, in Aberdeen.
The category recognises excellence in offshore energy technological innovation which contributes to increased output, reductions in cost and time and a collaborative ethos.
DeltaTek was awarded the accolade in recognition of its pioneering SeaCure technology. SeaCure provides stabbed-in, inner string cementing for subsea wells which delivers significant rig time savings. Benefits include no need for shoe tracks and therefore clean out runs, improved cement placement and reduced displacement, offline casing pressure testing, improved drill out performance and minimised risk of damage to the bottom hole assembly.
Tristam Horn, DeltaTek CEO, comments: “We are absolutely delighted to have won this award, which recognises the work and dedication our team has put in to developing our technology. What started as looking for a simple solution to address common problems and save rig time quickly transformed into a reality. Winning this award really means so much to the entire team.”
Launched in 2015, DeltaTek’s disruptive innovations, SeaCure®, ArticuLock®, ControlCure® and QuikCure® were created in response to the growing requirement for efficiently implemented, intelligent, cost-saving and risk-reducing products.
