Expro Supports Emerging European Geothermal and Lithium Market with New Lithium de France Contract

8 April 2026

Aberdeen, UK, April 08, 2026 - Expro (NYSE:XPRO) has secured a Tubular Running Services (TRS) contract with Lithium de France to support the development of several new geothermal and direct lithium extraction (DLE) wells in the Alsace region of France. This geothermal project, deployed by Arverne, represents one of the most active well campaigns currently underway in Europe, reinforcing Expro’s track record across the energy transition landscape.

Direct lithium extraction is an emerging technology globally, offering a more environmentally friendly and efficient pathway to produce lithium, a critical component for electric vehicle batteries and large‑scale energy storage. By contributing to projects like this, Expro is helping to enable responsible resource development and support regional ambitions for secure, low‑carbon supply chains.

DLE projects require seamless integration between well services, well testing and water management areas where our technical capabilities create natural synergies. Our experience in geothermal applications further strengthens our offering, supporting safe, efficient, and high‑quality delivery across the well lifecycle.

The significant number of well count for this campaign represents the optimal field development for commercial-scale geothermal heat and lithium production. Building the infrastructure to support this is an important milestone as Europe scales up renewable energy and critical mineral production.

Through our work with Lithium de France, Expro is contributing to the growth of a market that will play a vital role in Europe’s clean‑energy ambitions. By delivering safer and more efficient wells for geothermal operations, we continue to demonstrate how our technologies, capabilities, and people enable the responsible development of sustainable resources.

This project underscores Expro’s commitment to delivering innovative solutions at the heart of the energy transition, helping customers unlock new sources of clean power and critical minerals for a lower‑carbon future.

Iain Farley, Regional Vice President for Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa at Expro said, “This project reflects the acceleration of new‑energy development across Europe, and we’re proud to play a part in enabling responsible lithium and geothermal production. The high well count demonstrates real momentum in the region, and our ability to support operations showcases how Expro’s expertise is evolving to meet the needs of a lower‑carbon future.”
