Wintershall approached Expro's Subsea team for full WOS system for the Maria project - this includes the provision of an Expro landing String Assembly (ELSA®) along with a full landing string system consisting of SUF, WOCS, HXT umbilicials and reeler to include: 7 horizontal Xmas tree run; 7 completions installed with 5 wells cleaned/flowed back
Expro Excellence
- Responsibility for the design, integration and operation of the completion/workover riser system - full service provider supplying items that make up the system, including: IWOCS, Xmas tree, umbilical/reel, subsea umbilical frame (SUF), landing strings; blafro heave arrester, associated equipment and casing riser etc
- Delivery of a bespoke, full service package for Wintershall's requirements, with special attention to compliance with ISO 13628-7 (for design, analysis, materials, fabrication, testing and operation of subsea completion/workover riser systems run from a floating vessel); global riser analysis, system engineering and full SIL 2 certification
- Delivery of a full-system, allowed Expro to provide a cost-effective solution for Wintershall, contributing to the project being delivered 20% below budget
- Through excellent project management and well site job execution, Expro delivered the project on time and on budget. This was not just exclusive to the subsea team but also interfacing with wireline equipment for intervention, completion, workover and plug and abandonment functions
- Zero recordable safety incidents and a job performance score of 92%
