- The customer was experiencing challenges due to the well being on losses and a high deviation at setting depth
- The client required a more efficient approach to reduce operational costs for well decommissioning
- Expro proposed AEON technology to help reduce operational time and lower costs. The solution combined the CX-2 Bridge Plug with the CX2-Superflow scraper. Although the client was an existing Expro customer, this was their first experience with the AEON product line
Expro Excellence
- A single-trip solution combined the CX-Superflow with the CX-2 bridge plug
- The CX-Superflow cleaned the setting area for the bridge plug without the need for a dedicated run
- The CX-2 bridge plug provided both a barrier and base for cement, releasing with a slick stinger, enabling the client to efficiently pump the cement plug
- By deploying these technologies, Expro eliminated the need for a dedicated scraper run and a dedicated cement stinger run, reducing the trips in hole from three down to just one
- This operations was successfully completed, setting the plug at 87 degrees whilst the well was on 30 bbl/hr losses

- By removing the need for a dedicated scraper run, our solution streamlined the operation and simplified the overall well activity
- This approach proved utilizing the Bridge plug together with the scraper was a highly effective single-trip solution, significantly reducing both rig time and operational expenditure for the client, whilst maintaining a high standard of safety
