- A major Middle East operator aimed to drill an extended (6,341ft), 6” lateral in a single BHA run while maximizing ROP. Previous wells faced severe stick–slip, high vibration, and frequent RSS and M/LWD tool failures, causing inconsistent ROP and multiple unplanned trips-preventing the one mile per day target

Expro Excellence
- Expro deployed the HI TOOL® within the RSS BHA to actively suppress torsional, lateral, and axial vibrations. Strategically placed at the top of the BHA, the tool isolated the bit, RSS, and MWD/LWD from disruptive drill string dynamics. This configuration enabled smoother torque transmission, enhanced bit efficiency, and greater stability under elevated RPM and WOB conditions
- With advanced drilling dynamics management, the operating parameter window was safely expanded. Expro expanded the safe operating window, delivering maximum energy at the bit while maintaining smooth, controlled drilling
- This approach allowed the operator to push performance further, reduce dysfunction risk, and drive consistent high ROP drilling across the long lateral interval
