Expro Excellence
- Expro's non-intrusive ActiveSONAR meter was selected for production measurement
- Customer had unsuccessfully tried conventional clamp-on ultrasonic meters which did not operate effectively in the oily-water mixture
- A data to desk system was installed and commissioned along with the SONAR meter for the customer to receive live data on their DCS system
Value to Client
- The customer received a non-intrusive solution with no disruption to production throughput 200,000 bbls/d
- Measurements were made on a large diameter 18" line in the oily-water mixture
- Live data was provided to the customer's desktop real-time 24/7
- Secondary production was identified feeding into the bulk line which was previously unknown to the customer
