- A total of 2,216m of open hole required isolation
- Setting the conventional balance cement plug will be complex, time consuming and risk of cement contamination when removing the cement stinger

- Expro proposed to set the open hole cement plug with the Stinger Disconnect Tool. The Stinger Disconnect Tool features the highest tensile-holding capability to deploy 2,246m of tubing into well and enable setting the open hole cement plug in single trip and continuous pumping of cement slurry uniformly into the open hole. This eliminated the rig time associated wit setting up multiple open hole cement plugs in this long open hole section and prevent the contamination of the cement plug after placement

- Expro performed a flawless job execution with the accurate displacement volume and clear indication when release of 2,246m of tail pipe below the stinger disconnect. A competent open hole cement plug was set successfully and allowed the customer to proceed with next operation without hesitation
- The client was able to improve the operation efficiency and save 50% rig time compared to conventional open hole cement plug operation
