Customer Challenges

  • The project was executed at the Chayvo drilling site onshore Sakhalin Island, Russia, an arctic environment with temperatures reaching -40°F and heavy snowfall
  • The Interim Production Facility (IPF) was required to process early oil and gas production ahead of permanent facility readiness
  • Design specifications included handling 50,000 barrels of crude oil per day and 150 MMSCFD of gas, incorporating separation, gas conditioning, storage, and utility systems
  • A 30-month contract was awarded in March 2004 inclusive of a 14-month Lease-Operate Maintain period. Commissioning was achieved by August 2005
  • The IPF was critical to bring first oil and gas from the Sakhalin-1 project to market, marking the clients first hydrocarbons produced in Russia
