In September 2015 Expro achieved first-oil at their 25,000 BPD EPF for a Middle Eastern based oil exploration and production company. The project contract included the design, construction, 2-years operation and maintenance for an onshore EPF as part of Customer’s ongoing field development program
The project team worked collaboratively with the customer and nominated sub-contractors to overcome significant incountry challenges
Compliance to local content and customer HSE policies and procedures demonstrated Expro’s ability to deliver fit-forpurpose facilities designed for long-term operations
The facilities include primary separation, crude heating, desalting (electrostatic coalescer), H2S stripping, produced water treatment, and utilities / power generation
Expro Excellence
Expro made use of existing fleet assets throughout the world, including separators and other equipment made recently available from other long-term production contracts in South East Asia and North America
Existing equipment was refurbished and repackaged working collaboratively with long time high quality fabricators in the UAE, and transported via sea freight to Turkey, then via truck to the final site location
Using a collaborative project execution approach, Expro and the client’s project teams were able to navigate significant in-country challenges
The contract was eventually expanded to include mobilization of a Temporary Production Facility (TPF) from existing fleet equipment to meet early production requirements of the customer while the EPF was still under construction
Value to Client
Thanks to Expro’s modular, standardized package designs and commitment to quality, safety, and superior project execution, the facilities were delivered to site and have been in production for nearly 10-years as of the date of writing this
The facilities were eventually purchased and transferred to the End User a year after First Oil
