- Constructed to satisfy the needs of casing tongs, tubing tongs, and the Hawkjaw drill pipe tool by using constant horsepower variable displacement pumps
- Increases reliability by the use of two identical pump/motor combinations
- Either pump can be used independently of the other in the event of a failure
- Casing tongs can operate at full speed and achieve full torque by using both pumps
- Using either pump independently allows casing tongs to achieve full torque at a reduced speed
- Tubing tongs and Hawkjaw will run in normal mode with either pump
- Approved for use in API, NEC, and CSA Class 1-Division1 Group C/D areas
